April 29 2020 - Quarantine has given us all more time than we need and some of us are making lemonade with the lemons life has given to us. More time at home has some people exploring their creative side and new ways to be productive. Times of crises have us scrambling for ways of adaptation and newer coping mechanisms each day and the world isn�t shy of innovation. And for some, these ideas are a source of income or to earn an extra buck.
What sets 2020 apart from the situations of the past, is the internet. The world sees a major shift in ways people choose to spend their free time on and in times of social distancing, this mode of communication has benefitted us in innumerous ways. Efforts are being made to be productive, creative forthrightly and they are recognized and appreciated abundantly.
In true sense of acknowledgement, here are the few ideas that launched successfully during Quarantine:

People are delving into learning, honing their passion projects, be it gardening, cooking, art, music, online content, pottery, you name it. Social media is an innovative way to showcase their skill and none of them shy away from showcasing their talent!

Online tutorials and classes are on the rise with the shutdown of schools and colleges around the world. Many individuals, companies and investors have partnered with schools, or are working independently to spread knowledge and information for those seeking to learn. Podcasts, online classes, membership programs, live tutorials and many such more.
Businesses and Apps:
Some countries have shutdown their shops but operate online to cater to customers wiling to shop online and this has led to a lot of businesses setting shop online. Increased sales and opportunities are working in favor of those who can afford to sell their products and services online.
Many apps that simplify work without having to step out of the house are being developed each day; apps aimed at communication and connectivity or online gaming has been on the rise since the lockdown. Grocery and home essentials, delivery apps, food and medicines are all increasing as the demand rises.
Medical and Healthcare businesses:
With the focus on health and development, businesses such as health-techs, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence etc. are being adopted in current times. Medical apps, health monitoring devices, transfer of information, medical assistance and digital healthcare are all seemingly relevant during the pandemic.
Many are resorting to starting businesses that are focused on the pandemic such as manufacturing surgical equipment, gloves, masks etc.
Charities and Donations:
Organizations that cater to help the needy are on the rise as turbulent times have left a huge mark on the suffering and life has stopped for many. Charities are setup around the world for various causes and are increasing as people are looking to help the unfortunate; food drives, shelter, migrants, financial aid. The world has shown in various ways on how to be proactive in difficult times for those who are greatly affected by the Pandemic.
