Shows to watch online during Lockdown

April 29 2020 - TV time is synonymous with good times, synonymous to a distraction, TV takes our mind off the current scenario temporarily and everybody is watching/streaming their shows and movies and we recommend a few too!
NETFLIX:
Little Things: Light, simple and good for couples or you can watch it alone. Focuses on the smaller details of a young relationship. Mithila Palkar and Dhruv Sehgal are likeable, relatable, and will grow on you.
Sacred Games: This show is intense. Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui�s characters are iconic and the series will leave you at the edge of your sofa or bed (because you�re watching at home). This is NOT for the fainthearted. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the series is gruesome. thrilling, fast paced and made exceptionally well.
Delhi Crime: Shefali Singh plays a cop and in search of 6 men wanted for rape of a young girl in a moving bus. Yes, it sits close to home on the Nirbhaya Case. It won�t be easy to watch this but watch if you wish to be overwhelmed.
The Haunting of Hill House: This is probably the most talked about Horror Series ever since its release in 2018. 10 episodes about the Crain Family who move into a new haunted mansion. No, it is definitely not like anything you�ve watched before. Watch it for the details and story.
Ghoul: Netflix�s favorite Radhika Apte plays military personnel and the era is one in the future where fascism rules. A prisoner with a dark story is unraveled as you watch the show.
PRIME:
The Forgotten Army: History fans can watch these chronicles during the era of Indian Freedom Fighter Subhash Chandra Bose�s creation of Indian National Army and its impact on India�s military. Made very well, this series is engaging, informative and takes you to a time not many have spoken about.
Inside Edge: This series takes you into the world of T20 Cricketing Tournament and showcases the role of money and power that influences the gentleman�s game. Vivek Oberoi, Riccha Chadda, Angad Bedi, Aamir Bashir and Sayani Gupta are seen as protagonists in the binge-worthy series.
Mirzapur: Violent! This series is not for the faint hearted. Gang Wars, violent twists, lawless criminals is all an answer to Anurag Kashyap�s �Gangs of Wasseypur�. The series delivers with all its effects and screenplays, Ali Fazal, Rasika Duggal, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Pankaj Tripathi and many more play their roles exceptionally well. Watch it for the thrill.
The Family Man: This series is brilliant! Manoj Bajpai plays an undercover agent, with a normal life, normal abilities and is set out to save the civilians. The balance of a normal family man and the exceptional, thankless job that he does is showcased beautifully.
Made in Heaven: If its anything we love, its big weddings and all that goes into the execution by Wedding Planners Sobhita Dhulipala and Karan Mehra. This glossy series includes everything; drama, love, deceit, sexuality, entertainment everything.
HOTSTAR:
Chernobyl: Based on the explosion of a nuclear plant in Ukraine, Chernobyl is brilliantly captivating. Watch it for the historical drama, the thrill and the grip it takes you on.
Game of Thrones: Although we don�t know anybody who hasn�t watched this series, now is the time to catch up to all the drama, deceit, fantasy, fight for the iron throne! This series is the most popular show that aired and is compiled in 8 long seasons. They�re worth the watch!
Big Little Lies: Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern and Zoe Kravitz take you into their entertaining lives with secrets. This show with its huge starcast doesn�t let you skip a moment, enjoyable, gripping and many sad tales in broad daylight. Watch it for the drama!
The Wire: This dated American show revolves around the city of West Baltimore, and the interconnected lives of the druglords and the police. This show originally premiered in 2002 and viewership expanded substantially and the show is still relevant today based on its storyline, drama, narration, literary themes, and the relevance stands till today.
Hostages: An Indian Crime-thriller series adapted on an Israeli series with the same name, directed by Sudhir Mishra, this series takes you into the lives of the Anand Family Home where masked men break in and take the inhabitants into hostage. The twists and turns, demand of the kidnappers, the distress of the hostages and their lives are portrayed brilliantly by Ronit Roy, Tisca Chopra, Dalip Tahil and many brilliant actors.
